Do you work in KBC? If so then
the FSU is YOUR voice at work!

About Your Union

The FSU has a growing number of members in KBC. Staff in KBC have a right to be represented by a union. In KBC in Belgium, staff are represented through the LBC-NVK and BBTK-ABVV unions. Your right to be part of a union is in the constitution and protected by law.

Our growing numbers of members in KBC have access to expert advice and support on issues at work.

By joining the FSU, you are ensuring you will have a strong voice in your corner, should you ever need it!

Take a super quick read of the differences we make in workplaces every single day!

1. Pensions

The FSU has negotiated some of the best pension arrangements in the sector. Pension provisions for our members in unionised companies are often significantly ahead of non-union companies.

2. Fair Pay Increases

The FSU negotiates fair, transparent pay increases where members get to vote to give their view. Pay structures in non-union companies are often individualised and pay increases not guaranteed.

3. Transferability

The FSU has negotiated agreements with employers where staff can’t be transferred within a 30 mile radius. Non-union companies often reserve the right to transfer staff.

4. Sick Pay

The FSU has negotiated sick pay schemes of up to 6 months full pay, 6 months half pay. In non-union companies, workers often receive the minimum provided for by law.

5. Roles and Responsibilities

The FSU has negotiated arrangements for acting up into roles and deputising. Non-union companies often reserve the right to add additional responsibilities to roles.

6. Negotiation

The FSU negotiates with employers to ensure that workers have a right to be represented on issues like performance management. Without a union, you have no independent voice in the workplace.

Here’s what our members have to say
about how we’ve helped them.

“We faced a number of issues on our team, and decided to contact the FSU. The FSU were able to guide us, and make representations on our behalf. Happily, the issues were resolved positively. I would really recommend membership of the FSU. The FSU are the workplace experts in finance, especially for KBC staff.”
“Having worked in another financial institution where the FSU was strong, I kept my membership when I joined KBC. Whenever I have contacted the FSU, they have been very supportive. By coming together as KBC staff, we can get a better deal at work.”

“We want to ensure that our members in KBC are offered the best possible support at work. This short survey will help us to better represent our members, and will only take 5 minutes to complete. Your information is confidential to us.”
